Anxiety: A Child’s Language OUT NOW

April 2026. Stress Lives in the Body Too

Sometimes stress shows up in ways people do not expect.

Not just emotionally. Physically too.

  • Stress can look like:
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Body aches
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Brain fog
  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed

Many caregivers, parents, and helpers become so used to carrying pressure that their body begins responding before they even realize how exhausted they are.

The body keeps score.

And sometimes it is asking for rest.

In many communities, people are taught to “push through” stress.

Keep working.

Keep helping.

Keep going.

But constantly living in survival mode can affect both mental and physical health over time.

Even small moments of care matter:

  • Taking a walk
  • Drinking water
  • Resting your mind
  • Spending quiet time with God
  • Talking to someone safe
  • Giving yourself permission to slow down

Healing is not always dramatic.

Sometimes healing begins with rest.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” John 14:27
